The Department of Education and Training's School Information System (SIS) is an integrated comprehensive information management system that supports schools as they improve learning, teaching and school administration through the use of technology. The Department has contracted RM Asia-Pacific Pty Ltd to provide the software, support services, upgrade and development services and software training.

Software Licence Reminder
Principals and managers are reminded that under the Copyright Act it is illegal to copy, sell or distribute computer software and its accompanying documentation without permission or license from the legal copyright holder. The legislation provides for fines of up to $60,000 and imprisonment for up to five years for individuals. A corporation may be fined up to five times that amount. There are also civil actions and remedies available to the copyright owner.
