This resource package was supported by the Department of Education and Training of Western Australia's Social Justice Implementation Budget in 1993 and by the Department of Employment, Education and Training (National Equity Program in Schools) funding in 1994-95.
Project Coordinator for the Teaching TAGS trial, modifications, publication and related professional development was Carole Peters.
During second semester 1994, the draft resource package was trialled in a variety of settings in Western Australia, with particular attention being given to National Equity Program targeted groups. As a result of the trial, the Teaching TAGS resource was modified and prepared for distribution to schools in first semester 1995.
Members of the Reference Group, Department of Education and Training personnel and, in particular, Trial School teachers and administrators contributed to the trial and resulting modifications.
Additional contributions to the Special Needs component came from Anne Butorac, Gwenda Steff, Louise Swan, Joan Gribble, Kathy Lyman, Jo Wilson, Barry Blakeman, Mort Harslett and the Aboriginal Education committee chaired by Ken Wyatt. Editing assistance came from Cam Rielly.
