Retention & Participation

The Retention and Transition Program Initiative for 15-17 year olds supports schools in the implementation of the Raising the School Leaving Age Legislation, with a specific focus on 15-17 year old students at risk of disengaging from education, training or suitable employment.

Manager Retention & Transition

The Manager Participation is responsible for the development, implementation and operational management of a range of district strategies and plans supporting the retention and participation of 15-17 year olds. The Manager Participation has the delegated authority of the Minister in determining and approving Notices of Arrangements. The Manager Participation works from the Manjimup office for 3 days per week.

Participation Coordinators

The Participation Coordinators are responsible for supporting schools to implement the Retention and Transition Program for 15-17 year olds. They assist students to develop Individual Pathway Plans and assist disengaged students to find suitable education/training, work and/or employment options.
