Curriculum Services

This aspect of the support to schools focuses on the application of the Curriculum Assessment and Reporting policy and is developed through the second phase of the Curriculum Improvement Program (CIP). Support is provided from the Curriculum Manager, Steve Milton who works with schools on leadership aspects and assists in planning and innovations in schools at both teacher and principal level.

Consultant support is provided by District Education officers and an Enterprise and Vocational Education Coordinator. All of these provide support in areas of expertise that will progress the CIP in schools either by developing networks or by providing engaging professional learning programs and activities to school leaders, teachers and classroom based personnel.

Consultants further support curriculum in the South West of WA in Numeracy and Literacy from Fremantle – Peel Education District (see their web page). There are three Literacy Consultants and three Numeracy Consultants who are accessible through the Curriculum Manager. These Consultants will support schools in implementing First Steps Literacy Reading and First Steps Numeracy.

Operations
The Curriculum team is based in Manjimup and also can operate from our office at Busselton. All enquiries should be directed through the Curriculum Manager Steve Milton at the Manjimup Office on 9771 7100.
