• Support schools and their communities; in locally appropriate ways, to achieve the key purpose of the Department of Education and Training of Western Australia.
• Assist schools to achieve the key objectives of the Plan for Government School Education.
• Help schools to manage the implementation of the six major strategies of the Plan for Government School Education.
• Provide information to Central Education Office and the community, as appropriate, about the achievement of the objectives and the management of the implementation of the strategies.
• Advocate to Central Office, parents and the wider community on the behalf of schools and to schools on behalf of Central Office, parents and the wider community.
