Aboriginal Education Team
The Aboriginal Education Team is committed to improving the educational outcomes of Aboriginal students through assisting schools with the implementation of the Creating the Vision Aboriginal Education Strategy. This team;
- Provides strategic leadership to schools in the area of aboriginal education.
- Assists schools with the development and implementation of strategies to improve learning outcomes for Aboriginal students.
- Liaises and negotiates with external clients and parents.
- Develops and implements district-based programs.
District Curriculum Team
The District Curriculum Team promotes quality education by supporting schools to improve student learning.
The team supports schools to;
- Plan, develop and implement a balanced curriculum that enables all students to maximise achievement of the Curriculum Framework outcomes.
- Use the Outcomes and Standards Framework
- to monitor, evaluate and report on individual student achievement and plan for improvement
- to evaluate and report on student achievement of standards specified at years 3, 5, 7 and 9
- as the basis for reporting school performance and demonstrating school accountability.
- Implement system-endorsed moderation processes.
- Administer prescribed system assessments as specified.
- Provide regular and relevant information to parents on student progress and achievement during the year.
District Operations Team
The District Operations Team provides support for the management and resourcing of schools in areas of;
- Leadership
- Finance
- Schools resourcing
- Vacancy management for schools
Student Services Team
The Student Services Team aims to support and assist schools to improve the learning outcomes of their students. The multi-disciplinary team is driven by key Departmental policies and initiatives. Areas of focus are;
- Student Services
- Behaviour Management.
- Students at Educational Risk
- Centre for Inclusive Schooling
- Gifted and Talented.
- Health and Well-being
- Bullying
