The Landcare Education Program is a state-wide initiative of the Department of Education and Training which aims to provide quality training and resources relating to environmental education through professional development opportunities, extension projects, creation of resources and project building. Using land and water care as the vehicle, this projects aims to provide a range of experiences that will develop skills, knowledge and attitudes leading to individual behaviors consistent with sustainable life practices. Landcare education emphasises a hand on approach as the best strategy to develop understanding and awareness about natural recourses management and its connection to environment, social and economic values.
