Welcome to the Student Services section
of the GDEO website
Student Services staff support schools in achieving the outcomes
of the Students at Educational Risk Strategies and Curriculum Improvement
Program of the Department of Education and Training.
Students may be prevented from learning for a variety
of reasons such as family problems, grief and loss issues, school
alienation and truancy, problems with relating to peers, parents
and/or school staff, learning difficulties, medical problems, disabilities
and psychological problems such as depression. The Goldfields District
Student Services team work alongside school teams and professionals
from other agencies to develop community, whole school, class and
individual strategies to get the best outcomes possible for students.
Areas of focus include Learning Difficulties, Students
At Educational Risk Policy Implementation, Behaviour Management,
Retention and Participation, Education Support, Child Protection,
Emergency Management and Building Inclusive Schools.
All schools in the district are able to access
support from the student services team.
