Primary Focus

Primary Focus is an annotated list of recommended resources designed to assist staff in Primary and District High Schools in the selection and purchase of fiction and nonfiction materials for their Library Resource Centres.

  • Published annually, the bibliography is printed in two volumes for ease of use.
  • Resources have been evaluated by Officers from the Evaluation Section of Curriculum Materials Information Services and a network of teachers in schools and staff in District Offices and in Central Office.
  • Copies of Primary Focus booklets, order forms and the display list are sent to all WA Government schools at the start of the school year.
  • Primary Focus items are on display in Western Australia for the first six months of each year.

Order Primary Focus: Fiction and Nonfiction
Non-government schools, public libraries or individuals may order the Primary Focus booklets direct from CMIS at a cost of $11.00 [$5.50 each booklet].

Complete the Order Form and forward it to CMIS with your cheque. A tax invoice will be forwarded to you on request but is not required for orders under $50.00.
